In this podcast, Amelia Loye talks to Tiago Peixoto about engagement and community development, civic technology, public sector reforms and the importance of managing data for more effective engagement.
Amelia and Tiago met in person in December at the Open Government Partnership summit where she, Tiago, Justin Herman and Seamus Kraft ran a workshop on “How to build participatory communities that deliver”. Amelia and Tiago also spent some time together in Italy in May at the Impacts of Civic Tech Conference run by My Society (TicTEC).
Tiago Peixoto has 15 years of hands-on experience in citizen engagement, open government, public sector performance and technological innovation in developed and developing countries. He has worked with, among others, European Commission, OECD, World Bank, Department of Communities and Local Government (UK), Brazilian House of Representatives, Minas Gerais State Legislature (Brazil) and Bertelsmann Foundation.
