Willoughby Council commissioned Engage2 to develop an independent assessment of submissions collected during the consultation of Council’s Draft Housing Strategy and 10 Local Centres Strategies.
Three methods were used to collect data through the engagement:
- Surveys hosted in Engagement HQ.
- In person during roundtable events.
- Formal letter submissions (received by email and post).
The assessment report (190 pages, 26,000words) is available on Council’s website. It comprises the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data on the 11 strategies–each which their own survey of around 15 questions.
As part of this analysis, Engage2 conducted an independent assessment of unique participants across methods to determine the representativeness of the engagement. Supporting outputs were generated presenting data in usable formats for future reference by the project and engagement teams.
Around 2000 responses were received to help Willoughby Council develop strategies for housing and local centres. The community said there is a need for revitalisation of village centres, without a loss of character, heritage or scale. There’s also concern about parking.
Now, with an accurate Housing and Local Centres Strategy in place, Council is acting accordingly with community’s feedback.
