Evolving Democracy Live Poll: Not Just Talk

On Saturday 16th June, Engage2 hosted an event called Evolving Democracy in Sydney as part of Vivid Ideas.

I joined the Engage2 team to help them live poll participants during the event. It was great to see how far technology has come to engage an audience in real time. I have analysed some of the results from the polls take and visualised them as a flow diagram so that you can see what impact the event had on people’s optimism about democracy.

The standout result: Due to the event, 18% of people felt more empowered to form an opinion and vote.

  1. Would be interested to know why the person/s in the very optimistic range before the event moved to the very pessimistic group after.
