Sydney’s first ‘unconference’ leads the way for social change in Sydney
engage2 is proud to announce that ChangeCamp, the first Sydney based ‘unconference’ for social change, is fully subscribed ahead of a day of, discussions and networking on issues affecting our communities.
Over 100 community leaders, civil servants, environmental campaigners, business people and regular members of the community will discuss subject matters such as housing affordability, homelessness, domestic violence, employment of indigenousAustralians, integrating refugees, energy sharing and how to apply a childs viewpoint to the future. About 60 subjects are to be debated in five rooms over the course of the day.
Unconferences are a new type of networking event where like-minded people meet to discuss topics in an informal way that encourages participation, new connections and collaborations. ChangeCamp has the potential to amplify social entrepreneurship in Sydney, building momentum for a social changes that will benefit people in communities across the city.
